The highest honor MPPOA can bestow, The Marvin F. Klang Award is named for the longtime purchasing director for the City of Detroit. For more than 30 years, Marvin held in the highest regard the ideals for which we stand: respect for the public trust, a strong commitment to ethics and encouragement of the public purchasing profession. A founding member of MPPOA, he was always eager to give his time and expertise in public purchasing.
